Eden Hazard Destroys Barcelona Defends
Eden Hazard added another eye-catching goal to his increasingly impressive collection. That came early and with the Blues playing some of their best football of the fortnight, they lead the game until half-time.
Chelsea, sporting the new adidas away kit for the first time, soon made the early domination pay through Hazard’s brilliance. Riding a challenge from Ivan Rakitic in trademark style, he then changed direction and went for goal, evading two other defenders before slotting the ball home low and true before a saving tackle could be made. This is what the American fans had come to see. There were just nine minutes played.
Suarez then scored to equalize against Chelsea shortly into the second half. Barcelona took the lead through their 20-year-old Spanish forward Sandro (right) in the 66th minute but could not hold on

Frank Lampard to miss match against New England while Pilro prepare for debut
It seems like New York City FC will
have to wait another week to see Frank
Lampard in action with their team's colors in match play.
Several New York outlets reported on
Friday that Lampard will not travel up to Foxborough, Massachusetts for
Saturday night's game against the New England Revolution.
Lampard had a calf injury while
training earlier this month, forcing him out of last week's match against
Toronto FC. The knock is not yet fully healed, prompted NYCFC's technical staff
to avoid the risk of extending the midfielder's injury.
He started training again this week,
and is expected to be ready to go for next week's game against Orlando
City SC.
If that is the case, both Lampard
and fellow new arrival Andrea
Pirlo could make their MLS debuts on the same day.
Bayern Munich Frank Ribery will miss start of season
Bayern Munich attacker Franck Ribery
will not be fit in time for the beginning of the new season, coach Pep
Guardiola has confirmed.
Ribery has not featured for the
Bundesliga champions since March, after sustaining an ankle injury.
The former France international
suffered a setback last month and, in a media conference
during Bayern's pre-season trip to China, Guardiola revealed he would not
be available for the start of their season on August 1, when they
meet Wolfsburg in the German Super Cup.
"He won't be ready for the
first game of the season, but it's getting better," said Guardiola.
"I'm optimistic."
Bayern take on Valencia in a
friendly on Saturday and Guardiola says the clash marks what he hopes will
be the start of another successful campaign, after a third straight Bundesliga
title for the club in 2014-15.
"We'll give it our best shot
and try to do as well as we can against a Champions League team," said
Guardiola. "But we're very much still in pre-season.
"We'll try to push the
players even more, so we're ultimately in a position to beat the best teams in
the world.
"We'll go for it again this
season with everything we have."
