Diego Costa to miss Chelsea's next 3 Matches due to a charge of violent conduct

From BBC Sport; Striker Diego Costa will miss Chelsea's next three domestic matches after a Football Association charge of violent conduct was upheld.

Costa denied the charge, relating to an incident involving Laurent Koscielny during Saturday's 2-0 win over Arsenal.

In a statement,  Chelsea said they were "disappointed" with the verdict.

Costa's ban covers Chelsea's League Cup match at Walsall on Wednesday along with Premier League matches against Newcastle and Southampton.

Having confirmed the match officials did not see the incident between Costa and Koscielny, the FA supplied video footage to a panel of three former elite referees.

Each had to independently rule Costa's actions to be an instant red card for the FA to proceed with the charge.

Eva Carneiro: The Chelsea's doctor is leaving the club after clash with Mourinho

According to BBC Sport; Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has decided to leave the club - six weeks after criticism from manager Jose Mourinho.

Carneiro had her role downgraded after Mourinho said his medical staff were "naive" for treating Eden Hazard during the 2-2 draw with Swansea on 8 August.

Chelsea asked Carneiro, 42, to return to work, but she has decided not to and is now considering her legal position.

The Football Association is looking into a complaint that Mourinho used abusive or sexist language towards her.

Chelsea say they do not comment on internal staffing matters.
Heather Rabbatts, chair of the FA's Inclusion Advisory Board, expressed her "sadness and anger" at the news of Carneiro's departure.

Real wins 1-0 aganist Granada to keep winning ways.

Real Madrid keeps their winning form but beaten Granada 1-0 at the Bernabeu. The only goal of the game came from Karim Benzema. They was a great miss of great opportunity for Real to extend the lead.

No Bale, James or captain Ramos, but the side showed a lot of composure as there took the lead to remain 2 on the League table. The Blancos still have not conceded a goal this season, having scored 12 of their own.

Real Madrid are presently top of the La Liga table with 10 points and this will stay this way provided Barcelona lose their match on Sunday against Levante which is very unlikely. No goals for Ronaldo is no problem after he scored 8 in his last 2 games.

Their Manager Benitez had this to say:

"Even missing four important players, we got [the] result in a difficult game and gave important minutes to other players,”
Madrid finally broke the deadlock after 55 minutes as Karim Benzema buried his header after further good work from Isco. The Frenchman met the midfielder's cross at the far post and made no doubt of his finish.

Chelsea Wins Arsenal 2-0 to record their first home victory this season

Chelsea won 2-0 against Arsenal on Saturday after 2 of Arsenal’s player were sent off , one in each half of the game. The goals came from Zouma and Hazard.

Diego Costa had a lot to play for Chelsea as he caused the sending off of the Arsenal player Gabriel Paulista in the first half.

Chelsea are presently 3 points behind Arsenal and 8 points behind the leaders Man City as the lost to West Ham 1-2

All the post-match talk was of Gabriel's sending off, and Arsenal manager Wenger this to tell BBC Sport:
I would not like to be Mike Dean tonight. Costa twice should be sent off. He hits him in the face in purpose. In every game he has aggravation and he gets away with it because of the weakness of the referee. We knew before the game he is only looking at that. Gabriel should not have responded at all but the two sending offs for us and Costa staying on the pitch is a shame.
Mourinho, took a different approach, labelling Costa the man of the match, not the villain of the piece:
"Good victory, we need to win matches. We won twice in three days, we kept two clean sheets. We controlled the matches. I don't have a view on the sending off. Man of the match for sure was Diego Costa. He brought everything to the game."
Mourinho also took a swipe at the Gunners after their complaints about the two sending offs and Costa's conduct, per Eurosport UK:
"I think I've played against Arsenal 15 or 16 times. Only once they didn't moan."
