Man City come to an end of their perfect start with a 1-2 defeat against West Ham

Manchester City lost to West Ham 1-2 after an impressive run of 5 wins with no goals conceived. West Ham scored 2 goals before city were able to press on and get one goal back but they were un able to finish the job and get away with a draw at least.

Manchester Sergio Aguero was on the field but it was new signing Kevin De Bruyne that gave hope to Man City even thought it was too short after Victor Moses and Diafra Sakho had raise the bars high for City.

No David Silva or Vincent Kompany for Man City. Kompany had a injury in their Champions League match against Juventus so new defensive signing Nicolas Otamendi was given a Start.

West Ham have stop the unbeaten run of Man City to claim the second spot on the table even though the outcome of Manchester United vs. Southampton will determine if they stay there or not. Man City on the other hand have dropped 3 points but are still top of the EPL table.

Manager of The Hammers, Slaven Bilic, had this to say on the club's official website:

It is great for the club and I am so happy for everyone at West Ham, but especially for the players because you cannot win here without playing well. They created some chances and in the second half they were fighting like a unit from the goalkeeper to the last man. At times we were lucky but you have to be when you are winning at their stadium. They are such a massive team.

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini spoke about his dismay at his side's defeat, and gave an update on the status of Silva's injury and absence, via the club's official Twitter account:

"It's frustrating. We conceded two easy goals."
"David Silva has a kick in the calf. He felt his muscle in the warm-up and didn't play."
