Coton Sport are getting ready to host Petro Atletico on Sunday at the
Roumdé Adjia Stadium in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup
play-offs.
Skipper Djene Ortega and his teammates have entered a camp on Monday at
the Sport Centre of Djoumassi, near Garoua, ahead of this continental
clash.
Following their 3-0 thrashing of Scorpion de Bé last Sunday in the
Cameroonian Ligue 1, the ‘Cotonculteurs’ have resumed their preparation
with a fair amount of confidence.
And manager Didier Gomes Da Rosa will be able to count on a full-strength squad to secure a good result at home.
“Apart from our striker Jacques Haman, who is not eligible for the
competition, all the players are at the disposal of the manager for this
preparation. We have no suspensions and no injuries,” Abakar Abdoullay,
the club’s spokesperson, told MTNFootball.
The Cameroonian outfit crosses paths with an Angolan team for the second
year in a row on the continental stage, after vying with Recreativo do
Libolo in the group stage of the 2013 CAF Champions League.C
